Homelite ZR43120 16 Inch 12 Amp Chain Saw with Automatic Oiler

Homelite 16-Inch 12 Amp Chain Saw With Automatic Oiler This reconditioned electric 12 Amp Chain Saw will provide you with many years of dependable service. It is light to carry and will not cause you to be so tired you cannot function, and it is truly affordable. I felt that this saw was worth mentioning because of the great features it has, and the awesome price it has.

The typical homeowner will love having this item around when it is time to prune the tree limbs, and when it is time to prepare the firewood for winter, or when you are removing debris scattered by the winds during a thunderstorm.

Things I Love about This 12 Amp Chain Saw

I found that this electric chainsaw should be included in the best electric chainsaw and gas chainsaw review because it does the job you expect it to do. It has plenty of features that make the work easier to do. It does not cost a lot of money to buy. My favorite features were:

Wrap around Handle

If you have ever used a traditional gas chainsaw that has a rear handle, or a front handle, then you know how straining holding these appliances can be on your hands. With the wrap around handle on this electric chainsaw a large portion of that strain is eliminated so your hands do not get as tired. Homelite ZR43120 16-Inch 12 Amp Chain Saw With Automatic Oiler

Hand fatigue when you are operating a chainsaw is a safety issue that can get you injured. The wrap around handle will help you to be safer and it helps you to reach locations that you would not have otherwise been able to reach.

The wrap around handle allows you to position the saw in your hand just right so that you can cut the limbs that need to be cut, no matter where they are on the tree.

Kick Back Prevention

This electric chainsaw has a kick back prevention feature that will stop you from being cut. When a saw kicks back during operation the operator is in grave danger of being cut by the revolving chain.

The kick back prevention will stop the chain from turning so the operator is at a lower risk of injury, and in my book anything that improves safety is a good feature.

Automatic Oiler

I like the automatic oiler on this chainsaw. I know that the traditional oilers on most saws allows the operator to depress a button located near the trigger and dispense oil as needed to the bar and chain. Keeping the bar and chain properly oiled is crucial to your saw running properly.

The problem was that you could get busy and forget to depress the oiler button and then you did not keep your bar and chain oiled properly and your saw was damaged. The automatic oiler takes the guesswork out of when to oil, and it keeps you from having to remember to oil the saw.

This feature made my list because it makes life easier for me. I like things that make my life easier or things that keep me safe.

No Tools Required to Tighten the Chain

As you are operating a chainsaw the bar heats up and as a direct result of this the chain will begin to get loose. A loose chain can hang on things and be broken, it will not cut effectively, and it becomes a danger for the operator.

This feature allows you to tighten the tension on the chain by turning a knob on the side of the saw. You can hold the saw in one hand and tighten the tension with the other hand. I love anything that makes life convenient. Homelite ZR43120 16-Inch 12 Amp Chain Saw

Final Thoughts

An electric chainsaw is not a luxury item. It is a tool that all homeowners should have on hand. It helps clean up debris, prune bushes, hedges, and trees, and it cuts firewood for your fireplace, and grilling wood for your grill. I do suggest that you wear safety goggles when operating one of these chainsaws because they still spew forth wood chips just like their gas powered cousins do. The electric versions are not as loud as the gas powered ones so you might not have to wear earplugs to protect your ears.
